Ancient Beauty
Not only am I taking in the beauty of the surroundings in Greece, but I am also learning the ancient traditions and habits of Ancient Greeks and Romans. In the local museum, I found these beautiful perfume bottles as well as other 'beautiful' artifacts relating to grooming. Perhaps we could learn a few tricks?

Spring Getaway
So I have made it to Greece. And it couldn't feel further away from England. This is the view I woke up to this morning. I am by the seaside, surrounded by copious amounts of wild flowers and snow-tipped mountains. Needless to say, the colours, smells and all round way of life here is completely wonderful.
I hope to come back with white-blonde hair and a gentle sunkissed glow, courtesy of the sun, although I am being very cautious of the sun with my healing cheek and all.
Next week, Istanbul awaits, so I am soaking up all this lolling country life while I can.

One Buff Body
Although I really do try to look after my body, I think I neglect my limbs too much. Which really comes back to bite me in the, lets not say it, now that it is the weather to bear more and more parts of our bodies.
One thing I am quite good at, and something I rather enjoy, is body brushing. And I almost squealed at the sight of this Omorovicza Body Brush together with a potion to banish those thigh dimples. I am happy to report back that this Body Brush is the BEST. It's like a spring clean for the body - leaving skin not only soft, but positively buffing marvellous.

Glowing Glowing Glow
Phew! I can breathe a sigh of relief that my travels of the UK for now are almost over. However, I have Athens and Istanbul to look forward to next. So, whilst I try to travel light, my beauty products inevitably end up being the heaviest part of my suitcase. I limited myself to one ’treat’-ment this time round and opted for Sisley’s Radiant Glow Express Mask. I knew that I would be short on time, so I could slather this on while I had a cup of tea and waited for the shower to heat up. I had a lot of people telling me I looked ‘fresh’ this week, despite having less than 6 hours sleep each night. That’s the Rosemary and Chamomile, with Red Clay working hard to deep-cleanse my skin and leaving it looking looooom-in-ous.
I think I will call it my radiant-suitcase-hero.

Handbag Heroes
This weather is simply divine. And while I am waiting patiently for my wounds to heal (although I really do wish they would hurry up and heal quickly), I am taking pleasure from the little things. Sunshine on the windowsill, fresh fruit and the smell of summer in the air. And this painting by my boyfriend’s little sister always makes me feel so happy. The colours are immensely radiant.
And while I cannot really wear a lot of makeup while I skin is healing, I have to say these little aromatherapy roller-balls from Tisserand are fast becoming my favourite handbag heroes. They help to invigorate, energize and also calm and de-stress if a headache kicks in. Let the summer season begin.
Tisserand Roller Balls are only £5.25 each!

One Big Fat Flower Bed
While I am feeling completely sorry for myself and worrying that these cuts won't scar my face, London has gone into bloom overdrive. All the flowers are so incredibly pretty, the colours, the shapes, the sizes, crawling up walls, peeking from behind fences and squeezing out of pavement cracks.
Visiting dear friends in Hampstead this weekend and going for a walk around the back lanes, passages and hilly streets, the varieties of flowers we saw was astounding.
Beautiful Ioanna took these photos. Let the colours inspire you.

Healing Wounds
I injured myself yesterday.
Having discovered my lack of coordination and absolute aversion to having the capability of riding a bike, I foolishly agreed to go cycling with my dad. Who is a cycling deamon I might add and is participating in Tour De France.
I fell head over heels, literally, down a dirt track in Richmond Park. Only to dicover later that as well as bruising my legs, ribs, arms and shoulder, I also seriously grazed me hands and FACE.
Although it is surface, I still want my face to heal asap and feel (and look) like Quasimodo.
However, I remembered two wise tales: my grandad told me that wounds always heal better with moisture. And the recipe for Lanolips was used to help heal wounds in hospitals. Lanolips + my wounds = greasy (but healing) face.
