And... RELAX

Although it now feels like spring is in the air (just my mood, not the weather), I am still having bouts of the winter blues from time to time. And moving flat at seven o’clock in the morning doesn’t help. And finally, trying to be more organised with booking my summer holiday has left me feeling more frazzled than on top of things. I am finding myself reaching for two products to soothe me.

Sisley’s Hydra Flash Formula Intensive is just perfect for pepping up the skin. I can almost notice the colour coming back to my cheeks when I pat this on - Rosewood Oil and Marjoram stimulate the skin. It smells so gorgeous and the consistency is just the right side of rich. You can use as an intensive mask for hydration boost too.

To relax (and celebrate my new flat’s bathtub) I am indulging in Aromatherapy Associates aptly named Relax Body Wash. It is like spring in a bottle; heady, floral, rich. Yum. Can someone run me a bath right now? I need me some relaxation time!

Aromatherapy Associates Relax Body Wash, £21.50
Sisley’s Hydra Flash Formula Intensive, £104.00

Apothecary Cool

I have been noticing a real trend for apothecary beauty recently. And I am loving it. Dark brown bottles. Pharmaceutical style packaging. And natural ingredients. Now Korres, one of my favourite brands, is not one that I would usually put in to this category. Their packaging is fun, floral, design-led and undoubtedly beautiful.
But their new fragrances are right on the money. Dark brown glass bottles and apothecary-style all the way. And the actual fragrance of course. If you are a regular Korres user, you will know that Korres products always smell a-mazing. So the new Eau de Toilettes are no different.

I am currently obsessed with the Saffron, Amber, Cardamom and the Peonia, Vanilla, Amber Pear. They are light enough to be able to layer over other fragrances, but last long enough for you to still get a delicious whiff at lunchtime.

Plus, at £24.00 you can afford to stock up on more than one.

A Pink Valentine's

Happy Valentine's Day. I am feeling in the pink.
Celebrating with one of my favourite fragrances of all time, Clinique's Happy Heart. It's an oldie but a goodie. Nothing feels more indulgently girly and fresh.

Plus, juicing the lips with lipgloss, the cornerstone of any date look. Plus, Clinique's have a bonus of SPF 15 too to protect your pout.

Love is in the air...

Wa-Hay! Relax and Enjoy

Ok, never move flat. If you can help it of course. This last week has been the closest thing to hell on earth.

I was in serious need of some relaxation. And here comes Wahanda to the rescue. Wa-who I hear you ask? Wahanda is the new website on the block offering all manner of beauty treatments you can dream of at amazing deals and prices.

For me, only a spa day would do at this stage. I booked myself in for a spa day (which incidentally was two-for-the-price-of-one, amazingly) in East River Spa in Canary Wharf. Plus a Morrocan Steam Spa treatment to boot.

It was a slice of heaven to counteract my moving hell. I scrubbed, steamed and totally relaxed my way through a few hours.

If it wasn't for Wahanda, I would be as stressed and frazzled as a dog chasing its tail. I am planning my next excursion already. Gift voucher anyone? Perfect for Valentine's.

Romantic Mathematics

Ahh, the joy of preparing for Valentine's Day. Although I am not a commercial sucker (but I am a girl at heart) I still want romance. One indulgence of mine is scented candles. There is few things more unromantic than the lingering smell of last night's fish supper.

Davina Peace makes the most stunning scented candles. This one, Memory No. 3 is a warming mix of mulled spices, cinnamon and ginger. My god, it sounds like my favourite dessert. Plus, I am adding her Hand Cream to my already extensive 'hand cream wardrobe'. The Green Tea extract and organic Aloe Vera Leaf should sort of out chapping mitts.

Soft hands + heavenly smell in the home = ROMANCE.

Another Beautiful Competition!

It is one of my all-time favourite pharmacy brands and they have come up trumps again.

I find their products so affordable, so trustworthy and basically, pretty fabulous. The Extremely Rich Compensating Cream is a winter saviour. Like Captain Moisture to the rescue. Therefore, I want to share the love. I am going to be giving away a £50 set of Avene skincare, which will keep your skin in check throughout winter.

Just let me know your winter beauty secret by posting a comment below for your chance to win!(Be sure to like Avene's Facebook page too).
